The Constitution of India (Article 67(b)) provides that the Vice-President can be removed from office, if he is removed from the office of chairman of Rajya Sabha by a resolution of the Rajya Sabha (Council of States) passed by a majority of the members present and voting and agreed to by the Lok Sabha.

Reason (R) is Correct. As per Article 64 of the Constitution, the Vice-President acts as the ex-officio Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.

Relationship Between A and R: As the Vice-President of India acts as the ex-officio Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, he can be removed if he is removed from office of chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
