Statement 1 is correct : Aurangzeb personally led the siege of Bijapur in 1686, which ultimately resulted in the annexation of the Bijapur Sultanate into the Mughal Empire. The Sultan of Bijapur, Sikandar Adil Shah, surrendered to Aurangzeb, and the city was captured after a prolonged siege.

Statement 2 is correct : After prolonged military campaigns, Aurangzeb successfully annexed both Bijapur (1686) and Golconda (1687), bringing the Deccan sultanates under direct Mughal rule. The conquest of these regions significantly expanded the Mughal Empire, but it also drained its resources.
