All are classified as the minor forest produce.
Section 2(i) of the Forest Rights Act clearly defines the term “minor forest produce” which includes all non-timber forest produce of plant origin, including bamboo, tendu or kendu leaves etc. Accordingly the right of ownership, access to collect, use, and dispose of all the Minor Forest Produce as defined in the Act has to be recognised and vested with the Forest Dwelling Scheduled Tribes (FDSTs) and other traditional forest dwellers (OTFDs) under the Act.
