Statement 1 is not correct: Oceanic crust is thinner as compared to the continental crust. The mean thickness of oceanic crust is 5km, whereas that of continental is around 30 km.

Statement 2 is Correct: Oceanic crust rocks are generally less than 200 million years old, as they are continuously formed at mid-ocean ridges and recycled at subduction zones. In contrast, some of continental rock formations are as old as 3200 million years
