Recently, The Indo-Burma Ramsar Regional Initiative (IBRRI) was jointly established by the Ramsar National Focal Points (NFPs) of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam, in collaboration with IUCN&rsquo;s Asia Regional Office.

Statement 1 is correct: The Indo-Burma Ramsar Regional Initiative (IBRRI) aims to support the coordinated implementation of the Strategic Plan of the Ramsar Convention across its member countries.

Statement 2 is not correct: IBRRI was jointly developed by the Ramsar National Focal Points of five countries: Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam&mdash;but India is not part of this group, nor does it head the initiative.
