The Tri-Services Exercise (TSE-2025) “Trishul,” led by the Indian Navy in close collaboration with the Indian Army and Indian Air Force, commenced in early November 2025. This exercise reflects India’s growing focus on integrated military operations and multi-domain preparedness.

• Coordinated by the Western Naval Command, TSE-2025 involves large-scale joint operations across the creek and desert sectors of Rajasthan and Gujarat, as well as major maritime manoeuvres in the North Arabian Sea.
• The primary objective is to validate and synchronize operational procedures across the Army, Navy, and Air Force to enable seamless joint effect-based operations in a multi-domain battlefield.
• The exercise also aims to enhance interoperability of platforms and infrastructure, strengthen integrated networks across Services, and advance operational jointness to meet emerging threats.

Key Features of TSE-2025 “Trishul”

• The exercise includes major maritime operations, such as amphibious landings using INS Jalashwa and Landing Craft Utility (LCU) vessels, complemented by aircraft carrier operations and coordinated air-sea missions executed with the Indian Air Force.
• A central focus is on strengthening joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyber Warfare capabilities, ensuring enhanced situational awareness and network-centric operations.
• The exercise also works on refining operational tactics to counter emerging and hybrid threats, reinforcing the Indian Armed Forces’ commitment to integrated and proactive national security preparedness.
