The 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) opened its doors in Goa on November 20, 2025, marking the start of an eight-day celebration, continuing until November 28. Recognized as one of Asia's oldest and most esteemed film festivals, IFFI 2025 welcomes filmmakers, cinephiles, and artists from around the world, further cementing India's reputation as a hub for creative expression and cinematic diversity.

Dr. L. Murugan described India as experiencing its "orange economy moment," a reference to the burgeoning creative economy rooted in content, art, and culture.
