High-Yielding Varieties (HYVs) represent a significant advancement in agricultural science, designed to enhance crop productivity, offer resistance to pests and diseases, and thrive in varied climatic conditions. These seeds are crucial for increasing yields on existing farmland, thereby addressing the rising demand for food without necessitating additional arable land.

This strategic initiative ensures farmers have access to seeds suited to their specific agro-ecological conditions, promoting productivity and sustainability.
