Recently, Indian scientists have pioneered a new security ink utilizing strontium bismuth tantalate (SBT) nanoparticles. This innovative ink features remarkable fluorescence properties that significantly complicate counterfeiting efforts.
The unique characteristics of SBT nanoparticles allow them to react differently under various lighting conditions. While they appear normal under visible light, they emit a glow under infrared light at specific wavelengths, thereby enabling more reliable authentication.
This advanced ink surpasses conventional security inks, which are typically visible only under UV light. The SBT ink operates at infrared wavelengths, making it much more challenging for counterfeiters to replicate.
