India is making a significant impact with its defence and aviation capabilities at the Dubai Air Show 2025, held from November 17-18 at Al Maktoum Airbase. This prestigious event serves as a crucial platform for India to demonstrate its technological prowess, aerial expertise, and its growing influence in the international aerospace industry.
Heading the Indian delegation is Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, who is accompanied by senior officials from essential defence and foreign affairs sectors. Notably, a bilateral meeting is scheduled with the UAE counterpart, emphasizing strategic partnerships. Additionally, the Minister will lead an industrial round table with companies from India and major global economies to explore deeper collaborations in defence production.
A dedicated India Pavilion has been established to highlight products from renowned organizations such as HAL, DRDO, Corel Technologies, Dantal Hydraulics, Image Synergy Ekxplor, and SFO Technologies. Beyond the Pavilion, nineteen Indian defence firms, including Bharat Forge, BrahMos, Tech Mahindra, and HBL Engineering, are independently showcasing their advancements. Adding to this are fifteen Indian startups presenting innovative solutions in aerospace and defence technology.
The Indian Air Force's participation includes the remarkable Suryakiran Aerobatic Team and the LCA Tejas fighters. The Suryakiran team, uniquely flying nine Hawk Mk-132 jets, stands as the only nine-aircraft aerobatic team in Asia, with over 500 displays to its credit. Their performances, characterized by precision loops, rolls, and synchronized crossovers, showcase remarkable skill and coordination.
The Dubai Air Show unites prominent global aerospace entities such as Airbus, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin. India's significant participation highlights its burgeoning defence-industrial base and its aspiration to strengthen international collaboration in technology, manufacturing, and aviation excellence.
