The eighth edition of Exercise "AJEYA WARRIOR-25" recently inaugurated at the Foreign Training Node, situated in the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges, Rajasthan. This prestigious event marks a significant milestone in the military collaboration between India and the United Kingdom.
Exercise AJEYA WARRIOR is a bilateral military training initiative between India and the UK, conducted biennially since 2011. Over the years, it has emerged as a signature engagement, fostering deeper ties between the Indian Army and the British Army.
The Indian Army's Sikh Regiment proudly represents India in this edition. The exercise aims to facilitate an exchange of the best combat skills and experiences, thereby enhancing the collaborative ability to operate in complex scenarios.
Conducted under a United Nations mandate, the exercise emphasizes counter-terrorism operations in semi-urban settings. It encompasses joint mission planning at the Brigade level, integrated tactical drills, simulation-based scenarios, and company-level field training exercises that replicate real-life counter-terror contingencies.
The primary goal of the exercise is to share best practices, improve tactical proficiency, and develop coordinated responses to manage intricate operations in challenging environments. The 2025 edition underscores the shared values of professionalism, cooperation, and commitment to regional stability and global peace.
