Recently, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched the Cyber Security Innovation Challenge (CSIC) 1.0 under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project of MeitY.
The Information Security Education and Awareness Project is an initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. It was initiated in 2005 and is currently in its third phase as of October 2023.
The primary purpose of this project is to generate human resources in the area of Information Security and create general awareness regarding cyber hygiene and cybersecurity among the masses.
The aim is to develop human resources for a safe, trusted, and secure cyberspace.
The project is implemented through a select group of 50 institutions in a hub-and-spoke model, which includes:
The Cyber Security Innovation Challenge 1.0 is a significant initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) aimed at students and researchers. This challenge encourages participants to tackle real-world cyber challenges.
The initiative is strategically designed to foster indigenous, research-driven cybersecurity solutions originating from the academic ecosystem.
